Fine Child Nursery Bedding Sets Don’t Come With Pillows

There are a lot of concerns and decisions to make for new, expecting parents when it comes to decorating the room for their new baby. If you are about to become a parent you will have many decisions to make about the degree to which raising your child will change your lifestyle. Quite frequently parents haven’t selected a theme when they go shopping for their first crib set.

Gifts brought for baby showers range from home-made booties, to noise-making toys. Fortunate expectant parents usually receive a happy assortment of gifts for their baby, many of which can actually prove to be unnecessary or even dangerous if used when baby is sleeping.  Pillows and stuffed animals should never be in the same crib with a slumbering baby, and overly fluffy blankets can also prove to be very hazardous to any infant. When discussing nursery decor, safety is an important issue; being adorable does not make something safe.

So what type of nursery decor items are deemed safe for the baby? Cribs bedding which is too much fluffy may be problematic for the babies as they are not able to push away the unwanted things from their way as easily as the adults can. Fluffy blankets can pose a danger to babies as they may suffocate if their heads move into it and they can’t get extract themselves.

There is no need to alienate a generous mother-in-law by relegating that fluffy blanket she sent you to the back of the closet, so long as you are vigilant about what baby may be putting in his or her mouth. Baby bedding should be pretty flat, like your sheets. The bedding can be soft, but not fluffy, but if you must somehow use the bedding which is any fluffier than your average sheet or receiving blanket, it should only be used when you are holding the baby and should not be used in the crib with the child.

Babies don’t need pillows and more than likely will roll off of one provided. Babies tend to put their head sideways when laying on their backs or stomachs. While a parent may think of a pillow as a comfort, for the baby, having a pillow in the crib is not comfort, but danger, as babies do not have the ability to move a pillow that might be obstructing their ability to breathe. For this reason, pillows will not be included with any crib set you buy, including Trend Lab Max baby bedding.

Remove cuddly toys from the crib if you are not present; they can pose more of a danger to your baby than fluffy bedding or pillows. Some infants love to cuddle their soft stuffed toys, but cannot push them away if they start to be a problem.
